Dataflow computing, a radical departure from von Neumann computing, supports multiple processing on a massive scale and plays a major role in next generation computing machines to achieve ultra high speeds. This paper presents an overview of dataflow computing models, languages designed for dataflow computing, and dataflow computing machines for numerical and non-numerical computations. |
