In this paper, we present an integration of SCI (Scalable Coherent Interface[SI) into the TCP/IP protocol stack of Linux for high bandwidth low latency communication within two or more computers connected with SCI, We describe a network driver which uses SCI at the physical layer. We will explain some further optimization techniques and the resulting performance improvement. In this context we shown a technique to eliminate a copy operation on the receiver side of the Linux-TCP/IP stack. |
