Title
Approximate Time Rough Software Cost Decision System: multicriteria Decision-Making Approach
Abstract
This paper introduces an approximate time rough software cost control system based on a multicriteria decision-making approach using the Choquet integral as well as refinements of the Albrecht-Gaffney function points cost model. Estimated project durations are measured with approximate time windows, which compute the degree of membership of each estimate in a number of temporal information granules which contribute to our knowledge of the time required for software development. An application of the Choquet integral in a rough set approach to controlling software cost is presented in this paper. The Choquet integral provides global evaluations of coalitions of timesaving software development technologies used during a software project. Such global evaluations pave the way for the construction of decision system tables and the use of rough set theory in deriving rules to control the duration of a software process. A sample rough software cost decision system is given.
