Title
Web Based Enterprise Computing Development Strategies
Abstract
Two promising development platforms have been emerged to address the web-based enterprise computing development strategies. One is based on SUN J2EE using Java platform-independent technology, therefore is widely adapted on the UNIX/LINUX development worlds and another is based on Microsoft Net computing on the Window platforms, therefore is widely adapted by applications relied on the Windows. In this study, we have developed web-based applications using both the development strategies. This paper compares these two technologies in terms of the development cost in client GUI modules, server objects and web services creation and deployment, reliability, scalability, and performance.
