Receiver synchronization in video streaming with short latency over asynchronous networks. |

Video transfers are an expected driver application area of the future Internet. When sending real-time video signals over an asynchronous network, such as Ethernet, some mechanisms need to be used to adjust the rendering speed on the receiver to the data source rate on the sender. The problem is more difficult when an ultra high-definition resolution is used (such as 4K x 2K). In this paper we discuss design options and our practical experience with implementation and field trial. |
