This paper presents a software development environment which extractsthe fine-grain parallelism implicit in an algorithm (in particular, fromneural network descriptions) in order to generate a parallel programfrom conventional source code for MIMD architectures with distributedmemory. The resulting programs are scheduled at compile time so thatevery data transfer is expected by its recipient at the same moment it isposted to the inter-processor communication network. Initial... |
