Focusing on the pinching movement to develop an intuitive 3D input interface for drawing in the 3D space, we proposed the interface capable of inputting information for hand gestures simultaneously with three degree of freedom for positions, three degree of freedom for postures, and one degree of freedom for On/ Off toggle. Moreover, we showed the accuracy for posture input quantitatively by conducting the evaluation experiment, and created the application using the proposed interface to evaluate its usefulness. The result demonstrated that the proposed method enables a finely-shaped form to be created by means of hand gestures and it may be sufficiently created as an input interface for this application. |
