During the last few decades, cellular system is our main wireless media for communication. But recently, the use of WLAN has increased in the hot spot regions due to its high data rate and relatively low cost for installation. So, there is a need to discover a suitable integration technique that will integrate both the 3G cellular system and WLAN to increase the covering range with some enhanced characteristics like data rate improvement and cost effectiveness. In this paper, we have proposed integration architecture based on Three Level Mobility Management (TLMM) for next generation communication that also evaluates its inherent characteristics to control user mobility, handoff etc. Checking of the network condition prior to handoff to prevent the QoS degradation is also considered in this paper. |
