Co-Creative Composition Using Multiagent Learning: Toward The Emergence Of Musical Structure |
Abstract | ||
---|---|---|
This paper presents Co-creative Composition, by which the musical note agent decides the next position while interacting with other agents in a musical sheet-like environment. The agent determines its action with reinforcement learning according to the sensory consonance theory. The generated chords are evaluated through comparison with music theory and through psychological experimentation. Results demonstrate that the generated chords were similar to those obtained through music theory, and show that the subjects felt their clarity of sound. |
