Title
Registration Updating Using Marker Pins in a Video Based Neurosurgical Guidance System (VISLAN)
Abstract
This paper describes registration updating for tracking patientcamera movement using marker pins in a video based neurosurgical guidance system(VISLAN). Both the algorithm and the experiment results of accuracy evaluation are given. The results show that the marker pin-based registration updating is a feasible solution for tracking patient-camera movement and has a very reasonable accuracy, particularly at spatial locations close to the markers pins, e.g. it has better than 0.7mm accuracy at distance of 50mm from the centre of the gravity of marker pins.
