Title
Adaptive fuzzy frequency estimator with applications in fading communication channels
Abstract
A novel fuzzy frequency estimation algorithm is proposed. Not only linguistic rules from experts but also numerical input/output information is used to improve the convergence rate. By simulation, the proposed algorithm converges faster than another fuzzy frequency estimation algorithm, which cannot use numerical input/output information, in fading communication channels. The proposed algorithm also responds faster to frequency shift which may be caused by the relative motion between the transmitter and receiver (Doppler effect).
