The use of hand gestures has become and important part of human-computer interaction (HCI) in recent years. To use human hands as an interface device, some glove-based devices have been employed to capture human hand motion by attaching sensors to measure the joint angles and spatial positions of hands directly. Here we will show a method for human-hand motion detection and extraction using Video Object Planes (VOPs). This method is widely used for Content-Based Video Coding and is the main part of the new MPEG-4 technology. |
