A novel scheme for rejecting a nonlinear distortion is derived with an emphasis on self-homodyne architecture for OFDM systems over multipath fading channels. To cancel out the nonlinear distortion arisen at the square-law detection output of a receiver, data symbols are generated and consecutively transmitted over a channel, with same amplitude but out of phase one another. These two received signals are combined according to the operation of subtraction so that the nonlinear distortion is cancelled out in a receiver. The proposed scheme enables a self-homodyne OFDM system to be robust over multipath fading channels |
