Title
PVS'98 agents: structures, models and production planning application
Abstract
The paper is aimed at application of the multi-agent paradigm in production planning tasks. General models of the agents (so-called PVS98 agents) developed for purposes of system integration and planning in the domain of project-oriented manufacturing are presented in the paper. Whereas the agent architecture is described in the form of frame-like structures, a tri-base acquaintance model is considered to formalise the negotiation and control processes. The particular instances of agent models for the production planning tasks in the TESLA-TV plant are described and their functionality is presented. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
