Title
Noise and sampling analysis for multiple-image radiography
Abstract
We have recently proposed a new x-ray imaging method called multiple-image radiography (MIR), which produces three images that separately depict the effects of x-ray absorption, x-ray refraction, and ultra-small-angle x-ray scattering. Because MIR is a relatively recent development, many of its basic properties have not yet been determined. In this paper we investigate the noise properties of MIR by deriving the Cramer-Rao lower bounds (CRLB) for the three MIR images. Next using this bound an evaluation of the uniform angular sampling acquisition procedure is given.
