Human is a crucial factor responsible for local and large scale environmental change and is a key factor in rural management. Accurate simulating and predicting population change and its spatial distribution is of great interests to environmental scientists as well as social scientists. In this paper, we introduced the development of a spatial-explicit agent-based population model for China based on a prototype from SVERIGE model. The model was used to predict the population in China. The validation result shows that agent-based model performances well in population prediction in China. |
