This paper presents the design of a multi-processor system to control a Laser Marking machine. The use of multiple soft-core processors allows to independently control multiple heads that share a single laser beam. We show that with several design decisions we can increase the laser beam utilization factor up to 92%. Besides, we present a multi-soft-core architecture, a particular programming model, and how the system is extended to enable performance analysis. |
