Title
Designing more Usable Business Models into the RUP
Abstract
A successful and usable interactive system requires cooperation between software engineering and human-computer interaction (HCI). But these disciplines consider user interfaces from different points of view. Therefore, interrelating activities into these two disciplines is complex. We propose to integrate activities related to usability into the business model. The Rational Unified Process (RUP) is a process aimed at complex projects and our view is that RUP is not a user-centerd method in itself. However, there is a possibility of enriching this process by taking into account the benefits of HCI. The main goal of this chapter is to describe a strategy that provides usability to the business modeling within the RUP.
