Research and Application of PBL Mode in GIS Course Teaching
Abstract
There is a lot of theoretical knowledge in the course of GIS teaching, the students often feel the theoretical knowledge is dull and is hard to grasp, so they are often lack of interest in learning it. According to higher vocational education's principle: course teaching should be emphasized on student ability training. So in course teaching, we should emphasize on skill training, but not only emphasize on theoretical knowledge. For this aim, it is necessary andimportant to select appropriate teaching mode. According to the characteristic in higher education and students. This paper discusses the application of PBL mode in GIS course teaching in higher education, this mode can improve students' interest in GIS course and improve teaching level effectively, through this teachingmode, students can gain more GIS knowledeg and their abililty can be raised more.
