This paper focuses on the problem of cost-based feature subset selection in the framework of the verification and updating of land-cover maps with imagery from different space-borne sensors. The concept of objects is applied and prior knowledge about an object (polygon under analysis) and its direct neighbors is combined with knowledge about the sensor and utilized in a feature subset selection step. |
