Title
The use of the language interface of R: two examples for modelling water flux and solute transport.
Abstract
Beyond its statistical usage, R is a noteworthy programming environment for C and Fortran code. We describe features of the programming interface and illustrate it by a simple example and a more complex example that is of interest on its own. The latter makes available SWMS_2D within the R environment, a free software for two-dimensional modelling of water fluxes and solute transport by Simunek, Vogel and van Genuchten (Technical Report 132, US Salinity Laboratory, Riverside, CA, 197pp.).
