Title
Research on Gascut-While-Drilling Volume Caculation Model during Underbalanced Drilling.
Abstract
The gas formation is gradually opened in the process of underbalanced drilling, gas cut area is expanded unceasingly, gas cut volume is the function of underpressure value and the opend reservoir thickness. The gas cut volume calculation method that assuming the formation thickness is unchanged is not fully considered. In this paper, the comprehensive factors that mechanical drilling speed, annulus cuttings and instantaneous gas cut volume and so on is considered in the drilling process, formation gascut-while-drilling volume calculation model is established. Based on this, the view that formation gas invading the wellhole too much will lead to bottom hole underpressure value controlling difficulties is raised during underbalanced drilling, and draw a conclusion that using formation gascut-while-drilling volume calculation model and bottom hole pressure calculation model calculate and control formation air inflow more accurately.
