Abstract | ||

An improved edge detecting algorithm based on mathematical morphology and Multi-structure is proposed to overcome the limitation which embarrasses the performance of the traditional edge detection methods. Making use of the super performance of the morphological reconstruction and multi-structure, the morphological reconstruction filter has been designed which it can solved the difficulty of predigest image and hold edge information. After using the new edge connecting method based on gradient direction, the ultimate edge is obtained. The experimental results indicate that the new method is better than the traditional edge detection method, and the cells image edges are consecutive and identical. |
