The goal of this note is to point out that the assumption on kernel g(t) is trivial in [J.J. Bae, On uniform decay of the solution for a damped nonlinear coupled system of wave equations with nonlinear boundary damping and memory term, Appl. Math. Comput. 148 (2004) 207–223; J.J. Bae, On uniform decay of solutions for wave equation of Kirchhoff type with nonlinear boundary damping and memory source term, 138 (2003) 463–478], which lead the trivial model also. Or the process of proof will be false. |
