A graphical approach to computer efficiency
Abstract
The purpose of this work is to develop techniques for analysing and improving the efficiency of digital computer systems and programs. The principal objectives are to optimize the usage of existing machines and the systems organization of projected machines. This paper illustrates some of the basic principles of the approach pertaining to data flow and storage in simple computational problems.
