Title
An Identification of Technology Opportunity on Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell
Abstract
Solar cell, one of green energies, is growing at a fast pace with its clean and renewable characters in recent 20 years. Patent data contains plentiful technological information from which it is worthwhile to extract further knowledge. Thus, a research framework of grounded theory and text mining has been proposed in order to analyze the patent data of thin-film solar cell so as to explore its technology opportunity. Grounded theory is employed to provide a coding procedure for directing the human involvement, while text mining is adopted to provide the computing ability for performing the computer-aided data analysis. Consequently, the axial categories were identified, the selective category was recognized, the technology opportunity was explored, and the contributive organizations were also observed.
