In this chapter a technique for detecting edges in images is presented. The technique is based on applying soft computing
techniques such as fuzzy logic and Lukasiewicz algebra operator. The utility of this technique is related to the simplicity
of the operations for edge calculation that makes it very suitable for low cost hardware implementation and high processing
speed.
