Title
A Proposal of Falsification Detection System in Structural Design
Abstract
In recent years, illegal structural designs ofbuildings created by registered architects have been asignificant issue in Japan. This situation has shownthat the conventional method of certifying structuraldesigns is insufficient with regard to the correctness, time for verification and required manpower. To solve these problems, a method to detect illegalstructural designs using a digital signature with theregistered architect’s secret key was considered. However, it is impossible to adopt this method, because we must now suspect illegal action by theregistered architect. Therefore, we propose a methodin which the computer program performing thestructural design calculation digitally signs thecalculated result. In addition, we propose techniquesto avoid both illegal usage of the signing key andillegal fabrication of the calculation program. Finally,we evaluate the proposed methods in comparison withthe conventional methods.
