Abstract | ||

We construct a tower of function fields F-0 subset of F-1 subset of... over a finite field such that every place of every F-i ramifies in the tower and lim genus(F-i)/[F-i : F-0] < infinity. We also construct a tower in which every place ramifies and lim NFi/[F-i : F-0] > 0, where N-Fi is the number of degree-1 places of Fi. These towers answer questions posed by Stichtenoth at Fq7. |
