Title
A Dynamic Light Sources Algorithm For Radiosity Environments
Abstract
Global illumination solutions are required when dealing with realistic animation. This paper presents a new algorithm for dealing with dynamic light sources in animated radiosity environments. The algorithm computes in an efficient way the direct illumination of animated lights, which in general is an expensive task. The paper also reviews the Multi-Frame Lighting Method [BS96], a proposition to simulate global illumination for realistic animation. The new algorithm is included in the method to extend it for dealing with any kind of dynamic object. As a general improvement of the method, an interpolated-based approach is presented. We apply such approach to obtain motion blur effects of animated sequences.
