Title
Web Information Search Strategies: A Model For Classifying Web Interaction?
Abstract
The article presents a model to classify Web information search strategies (WISSes). It is based on a model that originally was developed to classify information-seeking strategies. Real Web user data has been gathered and tested to identify characteristics of Web navigation, The model takes into account the users' goals and actions as well as the kind of Web resources they use. The model will be a tool in identifying independent variables that influence use of the Web for professional purposes.
