Title
Finance Expenditure Involved in Social Security at Provincial Level in China: Evidence from Efficiency Comparison
Abstract
Based on the data covering from 2003 to 2009 of finance expenditure referring to social security individually province of china, this paper unfolds on the efficiency comparison of finance expenditure using DEA-Malmquist index decomposition method to analyze empirically the differences existing between provinces and economic area. And we find that the efficiency at whole level is low than that expected with the trend downward. However, the magnitude of drop is in reduction year by year overall. There are three levels in the efficiency comparison: eastern of china tops the list with western following behind, and midland provinces has the lowest efficiency level.
