This paper presents the user behavior and performance of broadband Internet access network. User behavior is presented in terms of traffic intensity and data rate in different type of user scenarios. The performance of Internet access network composes of network throughput, rate distribution, busy hour and bandwidth occupancy. Data acquisition derives from measurement of realistic network. The key results from analysis benefit to network planning, especially for the broadband Internet access network. Designing Internet access link must differentiate in according to user access scenario. |
