Title
Study of a double two-phase induction motor drive system
Abstract
A double two-phase induction motor (DTPIM) system is proposed. It is shown that by connecting the neutral lines of a pair of two-phase machines, only four switches need be used for each machine and the two machines share one set capacitors. This paper develops the mathematical model of this system and establishes the simulation model accordingly. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the feasibility of the concept. The results obtained in this paper shows that the novel double two-phase machine system has promising potential.
