Title
Broadband characterization of indoor powerline channel and its capacity consideration
Abstract
For data communication over any medium, it is necessary to determine the characteristics of the communication channel. Powerline channel has been considered as a medium not only for low-rate, control communications, but also for high-speed data communications. In order to implement advanced communication technologies, the complete knowledge of the broadband powerline channel, including the analysis of the channel capacity, are required. This paper strives to widen the understanding of broadband indoor powerline channel by focusing on the properties of indoor powerline channels and its noise behavior. Capacity of the PLC-channel is optimized by using a water-pouring algorithm.
