Title
Semantic Service Discovery Exploiting Efficient Concept Match over Large Amount of Heterogeneous Ontologies
Abstract
Describing profiles of services with ontologies enables semantics-based service publication and discovery. However, there are practical problems in order to achieve ontology-based semantic service discovery in open networked environments. Those are semantic heterogeneity of independently designed ontologies and efficient reasoning over large amount of ontologies. In this paper, we present a concept match over large amount of heterogeneous ontologies. Proposed concept match incorporates ontology mapping repository for efficient sharing of them and conducts reasoning over only bounded amount of ontologies by offloading irrelevant ontologies with the help of ontology caching. We showed that the response time of implemented prototype incorporated with the proposed concept match outperforms that of prototype incorporated with naive concept match that reasons over all previously loaded ontologies.
