A class of quartic rational polynomial triangular patch
Abstract
A new class of quartic rational polynomial basis over triangular domain, which includes the cubic triangular Said-Ball basis as a special case, is constructed in this paper. The new basis has some important and good properties for surface modeling, such as non-negativity, partition of unity, and linear independence, etc. Based on the basis, we present a kind of quartic rational polynomial triangular patch with three tension shape parameters.
