The use of hand gestures has become and important part of human-computer interaction (HCI) in recent years. To use human hands as an interface device, some glove-based devices have been employed to capture human hand motion by attaching sensors to measure the joint angles and spatial positions of hands directly. We are working on algorithms to make the hand gesture recognition a noninvasive task. Many algorithms use training process to store some specified gestures so later a matching step can identify the gesture. In our case we want to get gesture and the spatial position of the hand using neither learning processes nor invasive detector devices such gloves or sensors. |
