Abstract | ||

This paper presents the performance assessment and signal recovery capability of underwater vision systems which are based on the CMOS sensor with logarithmic response and grey scale CCD vision sensor. Both devices are operated in turbid static underwater environment and the results gathered address behaviour of the CMOS and CCD sensors in such environment. The performances is evaluated over five essential criteria; distance, water turbidity, light, water turbulence and temperature. |
