Title
A General Framework For Assisted Power Control In Cognitive Radio Networks
Abstract
In Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN), nodes can switch to different operating frequency bands and adapt their transmission power levels such that Cognitive Radio (CR) nodes transmissions remain transparent to the Primary Radios (PR). This constraint can be assured by keeping the aggregated interference caused by CR transmissions at PR nodes location below a defined threshold. In this paper, we propose: (1) A generic framework to assist decentralized power sharing in cognitive radio networks (2) An analytical formulation for optimal power sharing in CRN. We show that managing the placement of the cognitive radio senders plays an essential role in creating a densely connected CRN, even in the presence of multiple primary radios that limit CRs transmission power.
