Title
The Power Context of Method-in-Action - A Case Study.
Abstract
Important parts of the knowledge within the field of information systems are represented as methods. Methods focus on the development process. Although methods are applied in complex settings, involving different actors with different interests and power bases, this is normally not reflected in an integral manner in the methods. Base d on a case study of a method in action a model of the context of a method is proposed. This model describes a method as a prescription for prof essional behavior as well as part of a cultural power base.
