This paper describes theimplementation of thread balancing software intendedto allow the sharing of a large parallel processing systemunder a variety of load conditions. The systemunder consideration for this study is the Convex Exemplarscalable, parallel-processing system. While thispaper is focused on the performance of this techniqueon the Convex Exemplar, it is a general techniquewhich should prove to be useful on many shared memoryparallel processors. |
