Nowadays, pronounced random nature renewable energy (wind, solar) penetration in power systems is growing and therefore their management tends to become a problem for the system dispatcher. Virtual power plant strategy analyzed in this paper can be a solution to be applied in cases where a random mix of renewable sources can be combined with a small proportion of the source water that is predictable. This paper analyzes the strategy proposed for micro power sources comprising wind, solar and hydro and network connection. Hydraulic power is enhanced considering pumping rate of 38%. Proportion carried out by consumer consumption is considered equivalent to 14% of the electricity produced by micro, the remainder being sold or consumed in pumping network (5%). The investigation is realized using the NREL HOMER package. |
