Concurrent Engineering (CE) is one of the most important concepts for reducing development time and improving the quality of products and their related processes. However, there is a significant lack of methods to support the planning of production systems and personnel in a CE environment. This article presents an approach to the development of such methods and their preliminary concepts. It focuses on the selection of inspection tools, personnel, and the design of shop floor control systems. |
