RFID middleware plays an important role to filter and aggregate amount of tag data as well as manage reader devices in networked RFID systems. It has a heavy burden on computation and facilitates to suffer malicious attacks through fraudulent business competitors or sly hacker. To guarantee Service Level Agreement (SLA) and security in RFID services, it is important for networked RFID systems to have a dependable RFID middleware. In this paper, we propose an architecture design for dependability of RFID middleware and an approach of event-based monitoring to improve reliability and security on the operation of RFID middleware. |
