Title
Experiments in discrimination and classification
Abstract
A nonparametric discrimination method, based on estimating the probability densities of two populations, is available which appears generally applicable to discrimination problems. This nonparametric method is combined with Gamba's “learning without teacher” or classification procedure to obtain a new classification technique which considers all variates simultaneously. Experiments applying this technique are described.
