Infrastructures for Knowledge Systems Environments.
Abstract
Knowledge management has been a hot research issues for decades and resulted in many proposals and some systems that have been supporting information exchange in companies or societies. They failed however to become knowledge systems. With the advent of the internet the knowledge web is going to replace knowledge management. It creates its own challenges but take advantage of all web, information systems and software technology. This paper surveys approaches to information and information management and to development of infrastructures for knowledge systems environment. Knowledge system environments are tightly connected to social media. They enhance Web 2.0 applications such as Employee 2.0 and Company 2.0. They are the backbone for digital sciences.
