Interaction between PVM Parameters and Communication Performances on ATM Networks
Abstract
This short paper presents preliminary results of an investigation to improve PVM communication on workstation clusters over ATM. The experiments show that a better exploitation of ATM bandwidth could be gained by tuning parameters like PVM packet fragment size and TCP socket buffer size.
