This paper deals with simulation of circuit-switched multiservice. networks. The simulation method considered is classical event-driven simulation. Such direct simulation is used to obtain ostimates for minimum capacities needed to obtain required grade of service for guaranteed services. After short description of capacity planning method, we present a simulation method used to accelerate, the simulation when Engset loss network model is considered. Method is based on approximating the customers' groups realistic Engset models by a one dimension Markov chain. In the end we present simulation results which demonstrate quality of the approximation. |
