A Tourist Navigation System in Which a Historical Character Guides to Related Spots by Hide-and-Seek |
Abstract | ||
---|---|---|
Tourism is an important industry, and various initiatives for the discovery of sightseeing spots are being implemented. Most current sightseeing navigation systems, which are very efficient at enabling immediate acquisition of desired information, lack a sense of fun. Moreover, although some researches have been conducted on the creation of new encounters and discoveries in tourist areas, there is a problem in that the high degree of user freedom does not lead users to spots which tourist area authorities hope to promote. Thus, in this study we propose a system that stimulates rediscovery of sightseeing spots through hide-and-seek with CG characters using augmented reality technology. We intend to verify the anticipated effects of the proposed system in upcoming evaluation experiments. |
